The story takes place at the 1955 Mrs. California pageant where the search is on to find the “ideal” woman. The ideal woman being one who can iron the perfect shirt, sew an apron from an original pattern, and set the perfect place setting: “a happy, good, and beautiful homemaker.” Dot (Mrs. Los Angeles) competes with four other contestants in hopes of earning the title of Mrs. California. Dot is pulled in two different directions, battling between her best friend Babs and the company sponsor, Dudley. During one of the final tests, the “My Proudest Moment” speech, Dot must decide which road to follow: the one that could lead her to the crown or the one she feels is right in her heart.

We are looking for a tech director for this show. This position receives a stipend of $350.
The technical director will work with the director to formulate a set design, and be required to construct and paint the set and some large prop pieces. The Tech director must also assist with lighting design and hanging/ aiming of lights. Tech director will work with the WOS board members to find light and sound running crew as well as set construction team. Other tasks may be added as necessary.
